The book is with the Publisher

Today I drove out to Ilidža (ee-lee -ja) to drop the book off with the publisher, Šahinpašić. All of my work is done. The text is laid-out, the cover is designed, the maps are inserted. All that remains is the ISBN information and the “fine-print” page. I handed the disk over to Lara, who works for Šahinpašić, and told her what was missing. She said,

“Don’t worry, we will take care of everything.”

In that moment, I started to get a little bit emotional (and I am not an emotional kind of guy).  For the past year and a half I have been “worrying” about this book.  Now I am in the “don’t worry” stage.  Wow, that feels good.

Lara said that the English edition could go to the printer as soon as tomorrow.  We will see.  I am not going to worry about it.

Just for this occasion, a little Bobby McFerrin, “Don’t Worry be Happy.” (Also a great video for these uncertain financial times)
