MissIrby.com launched!

Today marks the launch of a project that has been in the works for two months. MissIrby.com is an interactive website full of pictures, maps, and history that I did not include in the book. Thanks to Jonathan for leading the creative design and implementation. Thanks to Djordje for working on the Bosnian version of the site.

Here are the things you should check out:

  • The Interactive Reading Experience
I think this is really cool. While you are reading the book, you can check out pictures and maps that relate to the content. There is a lot of additional information here and opportunities for further exploration.
  • Photo Journey through Miss Irby’s life
Instead of loading you down with text, we creatively show you the aspects of Miss Irby’s life using pictures.
  • Discussion Forum (only on the Bosnian site)
If you aren’t satisfied with passive learning, join the discussion. Ask questions. Add comments. Disagree. I wrote this book in order to start a conversation, the forum is a good place to join in.
(If you are an English speaker and have questions or comments, just comment here on my blog)
  • Miss Irby’s Faith
This aspect of the site is still in development. We wanted to create a space for spiritual discussion. I have been inspired by Adeline’s faith, hopefully, you will be also.

And, of course, the cool front page. Check it out and let me know what you think.

About Josh

  • Proud of you honey.

  • Bruce Covey

Learned abt the book at Expedition Church w/ Tim Samples, and just finished on my Nook. That was a story that needed to be told! Very cool that you’ve made a website w/ more info. I’m quite inspired to learn more about this region now.

Thanks Bruce. The website is currently being reconstructed due to some hacking. Hoping to have it back up soon. Feel free to leave me a good review on the Nook page.
