Monday Motivation: Robert F. Kennedy

Following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., the United States stood at the precipice of chaos. Would the racial division descend into violence and public disorder? Robert F. Kennedy broke the news of the assassination to a crowd in Indianapolis. His words are as applicable today as they were then.

“What we need in the United States is not hatred. What we need in the United States is not division. What we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love and wisdom and compassion towards one another . . .”

In light of the tragedy this weekend in Newtown, I thought this would be an appropriate start to the week.
