Monday Motivation: Nebraska Football

The Nebraska Corhuskers‘ defense looked sluggish in their spring scrimmage last week. In fact, during the longest touchdown run of the game, they seemed completely disinterested in making a tackle.

Or perhaps the new running back was just too fast.

Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez took the snap and handed off to 7-year-old Jack Hoffman.  Jack, who is battling brain cancer, started left, then cut back through a seam for a 69-yard run. His touchdown was the longest run of the game.

As 60,000 fans cheered him on, both sides—offense and defense—surround Jack, picking him up on their shoulders. It was a victory for everyone.

As for the defense, sometimes winning is not the only way to win.
